The evening air was cold and sharp the mist drew over the

small buildings. A car drew up outside Watson Model camp. Amy,

a tall 5' 11'' young woman with blue eyes, brown hair, and long,athletic legs got out of the cab and looked around. Amy had been adamantto come from the airport to the camp by herself. She didn't exactly wanther mother there making her usual fuss when she got to the camp. She wasexcited about going to the camp, but knew she had an image she had to makeand hold up to, after all, she was going to be a model.At about that time, a black limo drove up, carrying inside it Ti-lung,an oriental girl about 5'2" with long, black hair, sweet almond complexionand emerald green eyes. Ti-lung was looking forward to coming to the campeven if it was in America. Her father, the Taiwanese ambassador tothe United States, would never send her to any thing less than the bestmodelling camp.

Shalla, a 16 year old, 5'6", tall, blonde got out of her car and surveyedthe camp. Watson's is supposed to be the best modelling camp around, orat least that's the rumour, she thought to herself. Some foreign corporationhad recently bought out Watson Productions. Shalla thought it was odd thata biotechnology conglomerate would want a modelling agency, but guessedthey want to change their image, or at least have some pretty faces tohawk their products. Shalla gathered her belongings and followed a groupof girls headed for the main building for orientation. At orientation, all the girls were briefed on procedure,daily schedule, morning activities, afternoon classes and evening shows.They were told to report to their assigned cabins and then go to the diningarea for a booster shot and dinner."God, look at this dump,"

exclaimed Ti-lung, examining the faded sheetson her bed, "I've seen better places on army bases""Actually, this used to be McEdwards Air Force Base. Watson boughtit several years ago" replied Shalla.

"Ewww, this place is so dirty! Look at this! We only get one bathroombetween the three of us, how primitive." shrieked Amy.The girls started to get unpacked. Shalla cleaned up the cabin a littleand Amy ended up helping her. When they were finished, their cabin didnot look all that bad, but Ti-lung still vigorously complained about howsubstandard their quarters was. At 5:30, they went to

the Dining hall to get in line to receive theirbooster shot. "What do we need a shot to boost?" Ti-lung

whined at the nurse."It's to protect you, my dear," the nurse respondedcurtly. "There has been a particularly bad infestation of deer ticks thisyear around the camp area. If you don't get these shots you may get extremelysick."Ti-lung seemed to accept that.

That night, Amy woke up with a sore throat and noticeda tingling in the tip of her nose. She went to the bathroom to get a drink,and nearly fainted at what she saw in the mirror. Where once there wasa pert small nose before she went to bed, now was at least 2 inches long!Amy screamed. Amy screamed as she quickly moved

force base now known as the illustrious Watsons Modelling Camp. Mulder

read the report out loud to Scully who sat arms folded staring into the photo.

" The young lady identified as Amy Thomas was found lying face down in the

surrounding wood only 400 yards from the camp. According to the coroner she

died of a Heart attack they think brought on by a large dose of Narcotics in her

blood stream." "However Scully when they found her the turned her over they

were more surprised to find a strange elongated growth on the end of her

nose.". "What a pimple" Scully said laughing. " Apparently not" Mulder

replied frowning, "the growth was over 8 inches long" without responding Scully flipped open the autopsy folder. " Mulder according to this the pathologist recorded the growth wasn’t a growth in the general sense of the word It was made from bone cartilage a mere extension of her own nose. " a female Pinochio" Mulder replied. Scully nodded as she pushed absently at her hair trying to tuck it behind one ear. " what the hells going on Mulder" " I don’t

know" Mulder replied " but one things sure were on the next plane up to that

model camp."

Watsons was between the Rio Grande and a high adobe wall that fronted the road Eight units extended left and right from a central two story building that housed the office, a large flagstone waiting room cooled by a small sparkling fountain, and a restaurant large enough to seat one hundred elbows and clashing voices. scully sat on a wood bench that ringed the massive tree facing the arched entrance whose elaborate main gates, were like a ghost reminding everyone they used to be long to a airforce base.

Mulder stood motionless staring at his watch, they had a meeting with Mr Garside at 12 noon, the time was now 5 past. In the distance Mulder saw a man striding towards them, he started to slow as he approached them " Your the FEDs he barked. I’m John Garside he announced. Look I don’t want to sound uninviting but I’m unsure what this as to do with the F.B.I, surely the police can deal with this."

" Are you in the habit of hiring long nosed models Mr Garside" replied Mulder. Garside frowned " only Amys mother claims her daughters nose wasn’t that long before she came here. How do you suppose that happened." "I don’t know" he replied.

" WELL Mr Garside" Mulder replied staring the man in the eyes " I’m going to find out". "First thin Mr Garside I want you to close this establishment down send everyone home except Amys two room mates we would like to speak to them, what were there names Scully." " Ti Lung Zang & Shalla yates" " Mr Zang is coming for his daughter this afternoon" replied Garside " then you better find them for me rather quickly Mr Garside. we wouldn’t want to keep the Ambassador waiting would we". Shalla Yates entered the room, mulder stood up and introduced himself and scully Shalla sat opposite him. " Shalla, I will keep this as short as possible as you know yesterday a fellow student was found dead in the woods yesterday, I know you had only known her for a few hours, but we need to know everything that you can remember that happened yesterday from when you arrived. Shalla ran through all he events from when she got out of the car onwards, Mulder listened without interruption until shalla mentioned the injections, at which he started to write on his notepad.

Suddenly Shalla felt an itchiness all over her body starting in her feet suddenly her nose started to itch, she quickly scratched it then returned her hands to her side suddenly she was a ware f mulder staring at her nose she turned cross eyed and noticed the tip of her nose slightly flatter and wider than before she started to scream, "what the hell" Scully rush over to her and felt Shallas nose "Mulder if feels like plasticine her nose is like plasticine Scully held Shallas tip between her fingers she gently pulled as she did Shallas nose Lengthened Shalla screamed what she doing to my nose, "my god mulder" Scully keep pulling Shalla helpless but to watch cross eyed as Scully pulled at her nose more and more Shallas nose was now 14 inches long, Scully let go of shallas nose as she did so shallas nostrils began to increase in diameter as they did so they became redder and redder they were now 1 inch in diameter. Suddenly shalla started to take big deep breaths she couldn’t stop hr nostrils began to pump air in and out uncontrollably as she did her whole nose became redder , however hard she tried she couldn’t stop heaving in big breaths

Shalla Started screaming hysterically my nose, my nose she covered her nose with her hands the nose shape remained the same it didn’t extend or shrink it was if it had set. Shalla ran out of the room down the corridor as fast as she could as she did her nose

twitched as the huge nostrils pulsed as they heaved in the air around her. Mulder ran out of the office " Shalla" shalla ran as fast as she could she could hear the FBI agent calling her back however the voice seemed to be getting fainter and fainter, she fled through the halls through rooms she didn’t even know existed soon she was completely lost in the new found labyrinth that was the model camp however the room she found herself in didn’t look like a model camp it looked like some kind of lab all around the room were shelves with bottles containing human organs. she found he curiosity get the better of her she walked over to the shelves but found herself only able to get within two feet of the walls due to the length of the shaft of her nose he reached out ad managed to pick up one of the bottles, she peered into the bottle inside was a nose a long nose about 17 inches long with enormous nostrils suddenly she realised it was not unlike her own she began to panic she spun around quickly as she did so her nose ploughed into all the glass bottles and sent at least 4 bottles smashing on the floor, the smash echoed all around the building suddenly she could hear foot steps before she could react the lab door swung open instepped the manger , Garside with I’m were two men dressed in radiation suits he gestured to them as he did they grabbed hold o shalla she kicked screamed as hard as she could but it was no good she as completely over powered they dragged her to a dentist type chair in the middle of the room as she was pushed into the seat Garside appeared in front of her with some kind of remote control keypad he pressed a few buttons as e did electronic wrist and leg restraints bolted her into the chair.

Shalla found herself being propelled back into the chair by some kind of muscle s spasm her nose became incrediblly itchy again followed by her ears, Garside stepped back as he did shalla peered down at he nose and saw it begin to grow another good 6 inches as it did it started to curl up slightly at the end and redden , the very tip of her long shaft was now slightly pink, she struggled sideways to look at herself in the mirror that was fixed t the opposite sides of the walls what she saw frightened her her nose was about 30 inches long she thought she looked like pinochio but it wasn’t over yet as he looked at her profile in the mirror she noticed her ears start to change in shape suddenly they began to protrude from head no longer were they level with he head they were now at right angles she looked like some in of bat, he then felt them begin to itch she tried to scratch them but couldn’t, she glanced again in the mirror as she did so she noticed the size of them was slowly getting larger they were now 4 inches long, the very ends were more pointed than usual and her ear lobes were 1 and 1/ inches diameter. Then she felt them become very warm, as they did she felt a draught around the sides of her face, suddenly she noticed in the mirror that her ears were slowly moving from side to side, she looked like some kind of freak her nose was uncontrollably inhaling big breaths, her nostrils becoming flared each time she in haled no to mention her set of moving dumbo ears she felt like a bloody elephant.

Suddenly an alarm began to sound Garside looked worried as he gestured the men to leave the room, it sounded like some kind of intruder alarm, Garside ran t the medical trolley and produced another syringe he injected her in the arm that should keep you quite he said. Shalla felt her body begin to feel numb she began to feel very tired, tired so ...... so..... tttiiiiirrreeeddd. she then fell completely unconscious. "Shalla" a voice echoed around her she gradually opened her eyes to see agent Scully standing smiling down at her Shalla starred cross eyed her nose to see it looked normal she felt ears they were also normal, "its okay Shalla you are in the hospital. We were able to administer a vaccine for your ears and nose you will be all right your mother and Farther are on their way down here. "What happened o Garside shalla said and the camp. The camp was blown up we think by Garside. He blew himself and the model camp up, the whole areas still on fire, unfortunately we cant account what was really happening out their all the evidence serums and vaccines have been destroyed its a good thing we injected you with vaccine there.
